- Will it sound like a robot?
- No phone tree, no “press 1.” Daniel is a natural, human-sounding assistant that talks like a calm receptionist. Listen to the demo above and judge for yourself.
- I already have an answering service. How is this different?
- An answering service takes a message and passes it along — every call, every time, no judgment. Daniel handles the call: finds out what’s wrong, weighs it against your rules, books the routine work for morning, and wakes you only for the real thing. For less than a part-time receptionist.
- What if it can’t handle a call?
- If Daniel genuinely doesn’t know something, it asks you — once. The answer is learned, and every similar call after that is handled without bothering you. Your caller never hits a dead end, and you never answer the same question twice.
- Do I need a new number or new hardware?
- No. Your existing line forwards to Duskworth only when you don’t pick up — works with any carrier, nothing to install, and your number stays your number.
- Who decides what counts as an emergency?
- You do. During your setup week we write the rules together — what wakes you, what books for morning — and Daniel follows them. The defaults are spelled out above.
- Whose customers are they?
- Yours. Every call, transcript, and booking belongs to your business, and you can take it all with you any time. We never sell your customer information, and we use it only to run your line.
- What happens after the free week?
- Days 1–5 we configure everything for your business; days 6 and 7 it runs live and you listen in. Keep it and you’re month-to-month — cancel anytime. Cancel before the week ends and you pay nothing — though fair warning: once you’ve slept through a Tuesday night and still caught the emergency, it’s hard to go back. (Yearly plans trade the trial for two months free and are billed at signup.)
- What if I go over my plan’s calls?
- Each plan includes a set number of calls and minutes — and yearly plans come with eleven months’ worth of credits to spend any time in the year. Past your allowance, extra calls simply bill at 3× your plan’s monthly per-call rate, and we’ll always tell you before anything extra is charged. If you’re regularly over, the next tier is usually cheaper — and we’ll say so.
- How do jobs get booked?
- Daniel collects the address, the problem, and a time that suits the caller, then the job is logged and booked for morning with every detail waiting for you — like the call log in the demo.
